Volunteer Work
Hospice Promise Volunteers are a critical piece of our mission statement as we strive to provide compassionate end-of-life care and make a positive difference in the lives of our patients and their families.
Our volunteers serve our hospice patients in many ways. The most common thing they can do is be a friendly companion and spend time doing whatever brings joy into the patients’ life. The options are limitless, from watching TV to solving a puzzle to sitting bedside with our patients during their final hours.
Being a volunteer is extremely important. We hold it very dear and close to our hearts that no patient passes alone or feels alone in their end-of-life journey. This service also helps families by having a comforting presence during the most vulnerable time.
